To be completely honest, this is good.
For the past three years my mom has been a caretaker for someone on their way out. Right prior to that my dad left.
Now, there is no one to take care of. She can be free from both abandonment and a responsibility. I just hope she uses the opportunity to take care of herself. _________________ I have a face, with a mustache.

Sorry to hear that Ded.
Just take care of her, people who have been taking care of everyone else have a hard time when they don't have anyone to take care of. _________________ Tsosm! Dog and travel. Technology and fashion. |

sorry for your mom's loss, ded.
and martian is right - your mom can use some care now herself. or at least some distractions - after all that time caring for other people, she may not know quite what to do with herself. _________________ aka: neverscared! |

minor horror
i wish high school had seen fit to teach me the surprisingly important skill of talking myself up and saying good things about myself, for the purposes of resumes and cover letters and applications and essays begging highly distinguished faculty members to let me take their classes and such
probably would've been at least as useful as Powerpoint |

Boasting, sometimes embellishing, is sort of a natural instinct for some people. Not for me. I mean at this point, is it still even worth mentioning that I skipped a couple of grades (though thank god I don't take myself too seriously)? What about having x% body fat and a black belt in karate?
This is about that one class you're trying to get into with that one famous guy, right? |

Yeah, it's funny, when I'm sitting in a pub having beers with my friends I'm happy to mention casually how awesome I think I am. But when it comes time to convince someone in a position of authority I suddenly feel awkward and self-conscious. Let's be honest, though, high school doesn't prepare you for college at all. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. yep. something about talking yourself up without making it sound like bullshit seems to be really hard.
i guess we'll just gonna add this to the pile of stuff i wish high school had done, which in its totality can be described as "prepare me for college/life" |

I went to a private secondary school where they kind-of sort-of covered that ground before they kicked us out of a plane with no parachute. All I know from writing for scholarships and grants is that people are always endeared when they know you're interested in their work and desire to expand on it with dedication.
But neh, what do I know. |

During sex, I am experiencing chest pains. I am actually having them quite often, and am seeing a doctor for it, but I don't really think they are taking me seriously, going more for the obvious oh do more exercise and live healthy approach as a default response rather than taking claims seriously. It's really starting to bug me and its the reason why I hate going to doctors. _________________ When life gives you lemons, some people make lemonade. I just eat them and make a sour face. |

Is it only during sex?
And is that the only physical activity you get? _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. I’ll do anything to protect them from hurt, the human race is what I serve." - Baba Brinkman |

No, it's quite often during the night, but sex seems to evoke it - even when I am passive so to speak. And I ride my bike but that's pretty much it for the past few months. _________________ When life gives you lemons, some people make lemonade. I just eat them and make a sour face. |
