That's a rather large cigar he has. I wonder if that's supposed to symbolize something.

This music video is too deep for me, obviously.

the pacing on that song, thinking about it is like watching beavis and butthead try to dance to It's So Cold in the D

According to the VA, 1 in 5 women and 1 in 100 men in the military will be a victim of sexual assault by another service member. The things you wish you could unlearn.

I was using google image search to try to find pictures of Dman and came across a picture of Fuschia and Criminy that I can't unsee x_x

Link in case you feel masochistic
Edit: or if you like looking at perverted drawings of cartoons. NSFW.

WHHHYYYY

You have failed in many ways

1) going to a 4chan archive
2) being in any way surprised about that image's existence
3) thinking that it's noteworthy enough to mention here
4) not mentioning that the link you were linking was nsfw when you linked it -- there were people standing behind me when I clicked on that, by the way
5) damn that's old -- c'mon, you found it through its post (made years ago) in the comic subforum! and it was old even then
6) caring about a 3 minute doodle
7) being unable to unsee a generic doodle that barely even resembles the characters
8) being unable to see the potential appeal, total lack of effect, or wide range of other human reactions to it it and labeling it as "if you're feeling masochistic" rather than just "nsfw" (typical mind fallacy?)
9) the original image is no longer hosted and all you've got is the incredibly low resolution Google Images thumbnail
10) ten sure feels like a more satisfying number of items in a list than nine does

Thanks for the list since I can reply point by point.

1) It was on the main google site, I didn't see it said "4chan" until I copied the link here
2) I'm not surprised at its existence, I'm surprised it came up when I was searching for Dman and had safesearch on
3) This is a Life's Horror topic in the casual chat forum. I wasn't aware there was some minimum amount of noteworthiness posts had to achieve, I assumed it was if you had a horror happen in your life. This was a horror to me.
4) You berate me for being surprised at the image's existence, yet you couldn't figure out what I might be horrified at when I've said the image is about Fuschia and Criminy? You couldn't work out that it might be NSFW?
5) I've never seen it before, it's news to me. If it's been posted here before, I didn't know.
6) I was unpleasantly surprised by it at like 2am.
7) Wasn't aware that you were the universal arbiter of what people can and can't unsee. I'll get over it, but for now it's fairly fresh in my mind and I would have preferred to have *not* seen it.
8) I've edited it to reflect the NSFW. The rest, I don't particularly care. Start a porn thread if you want stuff like that to be linked with positive comments. This isn't a comic with stuff of an overt sexual nature in it, so I don't expect people who read it to want to see that kind of stuff here.
9) Okay? It still turned up in google image search. When I was not looking for it. It was an unpleasant surprise.
10) Other than to tell me to put an NSFW disclaimer on it, I have no idea why you felt the need to make a numbered list of ways I've "failed". I'll be sure to return the favour next time you post about something bad happening and I can think of all kinds of reasons why you shouldn't be upset and should do/have done something different.

I think the point is more that a lot of Internet denizens wouldn't be surprised by an image like that because, y'know... it's the Internet. It has entire sites dedicated to cataloging rule 34 content (if it exists, there is porn of it).

Of course, it's kind of subjective because depending on what your Internet usage habits are like you might not know such sites existed. It's like how a lot of people have no idea what a furry is but most people who frequent art websites will know what they are, because they've probably been exposed to content associated with them.

Also Google SafeSearch can be horribly flawed at times, especially with content archives (like 4chan archives) that don't tend to provide very much in the way of metadata for their contents, so it's hard for Google to flag results as inappropriate.

Anyways the numbered list seems a little excessive either way. However, I will agree with our friendly forum pineapple on:

Something about being a multiple of three just makes 9 seem wrong to me. 10 is so nice and perfect.

Ten is not a perfect number. You're looking for six.

If you want a really usefully divisible number, however, I'd like to recommend sixty.

I didn't mean the definition of a perfect number, I meant that to me I find the number 10 perfect. Base of the decimal system, divisible by two, a handy order of magnitude, and lots more.

Of course, it's a personal preference. I'm a computer person, so I prefer 10 for decimal and 2^x for other things; 8 for a byte, 16 for hexadecimal, 32 or 64 for instructions and addresses, 128/256/512 encryption algorithms, etc.

I've argued for switching to octals as opposed to decimals several times before on these forums.

decimal is already pushing the limit for number of basic arithmetic rules to make kids learn, so besides octal your other sane options for human use would be base six and base twelve (assuming you want to be able to write numbers more concisely than in binary), and factors of two are so much more important than factors of three.
Base 60 would be totally insane! That would mean making kids learn (59*59+59)/2 = 1770 distinct "multiplication facts" that are purely an artifact of the system (loosely glued on top of the actual essential rules of how a place system works) instead of just 45 like they have to learn now.

It might not be so bad, though. In some places they make kids learn arithmetic facts through brute force rote memorization, and that would no longer be an option with such an unwieldy system, so there would be no choice but to impart a bit of understanding instead of endless drills.

Still, at least go to 64 so there's some modicum of order.

There's no real reason to care about easy divisibility by primes other than two. Unless you're advocating a base (2*3*5*7*...) number system?

Octal and base six both work well for counting on fingers, too. I mention this because everyone makes this argument for decimal, but really base six is best if all you care about is counting on fingers making sense.

Octal!

nah

I fully advocate switching all units to the same base as the number system

if one is going to nitpick at the number system one should definitely also nitpick at discrepancies between the number system and commonly used units
