dinsky, you really need to talk to the authorities about this guy. forget about what damage it will do to the business - the business is clearly in deep doo-doo. you need to concentrate on getting what you can of what you are owed.
there was a restaurant near me, one day the employees came to work to find the place locked up tight - and it never reopened. sounds like your place is headed for that fate. |
I'm going to. I've been really easy on him for too long "oh, but he's so nice, and I love my job, and he's just going through a rough patch" have been my excuses for not doing much about it.
fuck that now.
what's he going to do if he does get caught up? There's another round of paycheques he owes us each week. It's too bad, cause I do love the job, and it'd be really hard to find another publisher around here that puts out something decent. But it has to be done. I can't go any longer without getting paid. |

You might also want to check that he's been remitting your income taxes to the CRA, dinsky, 'cause you're on the hook for those if he hasn't, and some scummy actors who are looking for ways to keep the business afloat a bit longer have been known to skip that little detail, making things doubly unfair for the workers when it finally hits the fan.

| I'm not exactly sure. But maybe it's best to leave the nose alone too. |
