But don't forget: it's not particularly effective against people under the effects of drugs and alcohol. Also, it will often make them more hostile.

Patty: I already have one of those! Unfortunately, it's just too big to be practical and I'm not sure where it went. I should really consider finding it, though, it's waaay safer than the 3inch folding knife I do have.

Plus okay I admit it, part of the reason I always have a knife on me is that I have a bag that says "Please be kind. I'm doing the best that I can. And I have a knife." and I think it's more funny when it's true.

Heard some yelling outside my apartment... generally not too out of the ordinary. It sounded angry though, so I look out the window to see some guy choking another guy on the ground.
Freaked out. Called 911. It's already broken up, so I may be wasting everybody's time.
Just kept thinkin'... you know there was a guy stabbed outside a bar in this town a few years back.
Feel kinda stupid though. I think the bouncer broke it up.
I just... couldn't live with myself if somebody died right out side my place and there was something I could have done to stop it.
