I dunno, what about them?

I meant they got on my nerves on tv, esp with that flatlining stuff. Basically, I was saying the same as you (only very badly)

It was a pretty heartbreaking car ride.

Boo...

I have somehow successfully avoided any and all car rides to putting down animals in my life time. I don't know if that made it better or worse.

Text from one of my closest friends.
"Had a mole removed. Metastatic melanoma. Hoping to have surgery next week."

The median lifespan of a person with metastatic melanoma is two to seven months. She has a thirteen year old daughter. I don't know what to do.

It's things like that are the reason I freak out when I see a mole that I don't remember seeing before.

Sorry to hear about it.

A father and his 11 year old daughter were shot on their porch last night just a couple of blocks away from where I teach. *sigh*

I got a bill in the mail yesterday from Baltimore.

$2,500 for rainwater remediation.

I have an itemized bill with things like "Rainwater runoff remediation, #21" "Bay water remediation, $60" all of that totals up to ~$300.

Right under that though, with no indication of what or why, total due ~$2,500.

Not sure how $300 becomes $2,500 so quickly.

Surely that post qualifies as a little horror. Thy is, as usual, doing it wrong.

Dogen, I'm really sorry to hear that. Reading that article on Metastatic Melanoma... Sad I've been in my share of shitty situations, nothing on that level of horror but still. I think the only thing you can really do in that situation is to try and be there for your friend.

This seems so petty in comparison but I feel like I have cold. In the middle of summer. What the hell.

Also my dental health is deteriorating and I'm too terrified to go to the dentist. Not because I'm afraid of dentists but because I've just let it go this far and I don't know why or how the fuck I'll pay the bills that will no doubt come out of it.
