Seymour's reaction probably would have been something depressing like, "Yay, god here I come!" or something. Buddha wouldn't have a reaction, he'd just sit there and wait to die.

Someone should tell god that using Hiroshige isn't very creative, why not Squigjira while at it?.

The panel where Squig sheds a tear for the hamburger is amazing.

This comic is a pretty amazingly awesome one. The devil looks like he can't do much, though.

I'm not sure I see all that many similarities, but the wave is the thing he is mainly hitting on I suppose, from one of his most famous works.

For the Buddha this would mean absolutely nothing. The world ending? How does that even effect him? He exists within and without it.

The Wave is by Hokusai, not Hiroshige.

GOD SMASH indeed!

The Tower of Evil toppling reminds me of the Tower card illustration in many Tarot decks.

I wonder if the tidal wave that recently threatened Britain but just-barely failed to breach the seawalls had anything to do with this choice of theme (the tsunami action in particular), at this moment?

God forgot that he wasn't done with his creation yet? And why destroy something that you create unless it's crap? Well, that kind of gross ineptitude and irrational, violent anger is at least consistent with the biblegod.

Why not destroy something, even if it is perfect. It doesn't have to be flawed to warrant destruction. Destruction goes hand and hand with creation.

Also, changing one's mind isn't necessarily a sign of ineptitude or irrationality.

Lastly, it all just seems like it could be god's idea of a joke.
