God forgot that he wasn't done with his creation yet? And why destroy something that you create unless it's crap? Well, that kind of gross ineptitude and irrational, violent anger is at least consistent with the biblegod.

'Course, this is only true if "biblegod" said he would destroy the world.

Why not destroy something, even if it is perfect. It doesn't have to be flawed to warrant destruction. Destruction goes hand and hand with creation.

Also, changing one's mind isn't necessarily a sign of ineptitude or irrationality.

Lastly, it all just seems like it could be god's idea of a joke.

Destruction follows the pattern set at creation. Life must end and begin anew. Just cause the end comes doesn't mean THE END. Just that a chapter has finished. What would god do if all creation was destroyed?

Someone should tell god that using Hiroshige isn't very creative, why not Squigjira while at it?.

The Wave is by Hokusai, not Hiroshige.

That one I agree.

I was thinking of Hiroshige's 24 stations, done a year after this one.

Not done with the story indeed.

Though God's comment in the end seems like his way of keeping people on their toes.

Nothing.

Because he didn't exist until way after creation.

this is a great conversation. I'm sure it will go far, being based as it is in knowable things.

Depends if you believe in a Unitarian God or a Trinitarian God.

To the Unitarians, God is alone.

To the Trinitarians, God is three persons in one nature.

Saying that "God was bored" tends to lean to the Unitarian view of God.

The Trinitarian viewpoint shows that God had company before Creation.
