how dare she type "ur"

You don't think she's referring to the ancient Mesopotamian city of the same name?

I dont know, I think "Slick, An ancient Mesopotamian City a pathetic retard" doesnt seem to fit.

I get quite a kick out of the line "light of my life," by Slick.

It reminds me of the opening to the book Lolita, by Vladimir Nabokov. It begins:

"Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta."

There also happens to be a character called Monique in that book: she is a young (estimated eighteen years old or younger) prostitute in France. Oh, and "nique" is a word for "to screw" in French. (Probably an intentional name choice on Nabokov's part.)
So I enjoyed the possible reference.

And Tat's, I imagine.

The aolspeak and Nique's harshness kind of ruined this comic for me. I'm also not particularly happy that Tat used the overused '69 at the end of a screen name'.

Exactly, and nique using 'ur' seems exactly how you would expect her to converse.

They're both acting natural actually, the comic fits their characters and seems right and that makes up for the cheesiness.

Wow, "no" is such a solid point, you're undoubtedly right.

Do you have anything beyond opinion in your post to refute?

For that matter, does your post even touch on mine more than tangentially?

I wonder Secret, do you have any other point to make that isn't "I don't like it, so you're fucking wrong."?

Honestly, you're the most overly opinionated person in this forum and usually have the least to offer.

Christ, Blargh makes more reasonable posts than you.

There are many people with less to offer. For example, I don't recall any post of yours I've found funny, clever, or otherwise interesting. Perhaps you should pull the Pando tree out of your eye before worrying about the mote in Secret's.

Secret, While you have a point about Monique's harshness, I also think you're wrong about the 'netspeak and screenname. It really is in character for both of them.

While I don't know about the netspeak (since this situation doesn't have much precedent), even if the '69' is in character for Slick, I'm sure Tat could have found some more original or clever way to demonstrate Slick's character.

I don't think Tat would want to, because Slick isn't particularly original or creative. Smile
