of course, i have more reason to worry, since if Prop 30 on the California ballot fails, my tuition spikes dramatically
and seeing as how Prop 30 involves a tax increase, i'm kind of sickeningly expecting it to fail |

Fuck me, that was QUICK. I was just gonna check the ballot one more time before bed and bam! Obama is declared the winner.
And it turns out my worries were for naught as the tally went up a whopping 100 points in just a few minutes. I think the score was Mittens 180-something to 164-165. Climbed pretty fast!
Well, that'll make me sleep sounder. Let's hope prop 30 passes too!

Seems likely that the pot initiatives in washington and colorado will pass...oregon is likely to fail. _________________

I like him bitching about the EC system just 20 minutes ago. But Obama was already leading in the popular vote and the gulf has only widened since then. |

His concession was very nice, and I really hope people take it to heart. I feel I need to post it up on Facebook to the amount of people I see saying "It's all over! Our country is now doomed! You'll see in 4 years!" I'm like..."You DO know he's been in office 4 yeas already, right?"
Hell his concession speech made me like him that much more. I hope the Republicans will do as he suggested and work with Obama instead of stonewalling for 4 years. _________________

| Like that worked with McCain's concession speech, which was also excellent. |

So Nate Silver was off by 10 electoral votes, or about 3%. True, though at the time, they didn't have the power they gained 2 years in. So much of the stonewalling has been specific to make Obama look like nothing's getting done and not get re-elected, it's just sad and petty.
You're still probably right. I'm sure it will be the same. The only thing I hope for is the stonewalling to stop. They can bicker like children, but at least pass SOMETHING. Hahaaha. _________________
