Thanks Hadley! Kristi and a few others I actually have on FB so I get to hear how they are doing occasionally. Capn hasn't posted on the old forum in a long time. Life consumes us all, I guess.

last time I heard from fris she was having some sort of medical troubles (I think). I hope she is doing well (mind you it's been like 2 years or something) and maybe the next time you hear from her you could let her know that we would all love it if she stopped in to say 'hi' sometime.

She chills on Google+. She moved out of Colorado and has a library position somewhere near her mom or something like that.

wow, I wasn't sure I could still feel that level of pleasure on behalf of another person as I did just then when I read that she has been able to continue being a librarian. (you may or may not recall or care that I've been in a bit of a slump physically and emotionally lately. After all this time with intractable chronic pain and depression (and also, in no small part, the medication meant to keep both under control) I have been finding that my natural and quick capacity for empathy and generally giving a fuck about other people and their problems is requiring more and more of an effort to muster up and that has contributed in a significant way in making it harder to feel good about who I am, like I'm not a good person if I find it difficult to care about another person. Feeling that so readily and strongly just now has shown me that there is still some hope of normalcy for me. You couldn't have known or intended that your post would have such an effect, but thank you nonetheless.

I seem to be full of that this week. I call that a win. Kiss kiss.

Wow, it's been almost a year since I've been on here (let alone posted much of anything). I just wanted to say 'hi' to everyone who is still around that remembers me and 'welcome' to any of the more recent members with whom I've yet to have opportunity to become acquainted with. My hope is that I'll be sticking around for a bit but, as I'm notoriously unreliable, I'll just say that I hope everyone's been well and life has been somewhat less than shitty for you all.
