Apparently things have been messy in this case for a while, including Tom violating bail by consuming alcohol.

Now, I get the idea that "bad people need to be punished", but for fucks sake, this is a state supreme court. For me, this shit-ass ruling that seems motivated by a 'get 'em by any means necessary' middle school mentality seems indicative of judges' misanthropy for the 'masses' i.e. those outside of their own societal clique.

All white males need to be killed.

Burn it all to the ground! Show those racist pigs that black people are civilized, intelligent and are not to be trifled with!

Yeah, that one isn't even thinly veiled. It's not even veiled. It's on a pedestal, with a spotlight, and a blinking neon arrow. Newbie can't even stay in character.

I'm really rather disappointed, I thought like there was potential for KillAllMen to be entertaining.

He was boring from the start honestly.

I keep seeing Ferguson on my dash which is super emotional and all like 'they're shooting at citizens!' and in the Dutch newspaper it's all neutral like: Some people broke curfew, police threw some tear gas. A little confusing.

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/18/us/michael-brown-autopsy-shows-he-was-shot-at-least-6-times.html?smid=tw-bna&_r=1

Quote:
FERGUSON, Mo. — Michael Brown, the unarmed black teenager who was killed by a police officer, sparking protests around the nation, was shot at least six times, including twice in the head, a preliminary private autopsy performed on Sunday found.

One of the bullets entered the top of Mr. Brown’s skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when it struck him and caused a fatal injury, according to Dr. Michael M. Baden, the former chief medical examiner for the City of New York, who flew to Missouri on Sunday at the family’s request to conduct the separate autopsy. It was likely the last of bullets to hit him, he said.

Mr. Brown, 18, was also shot four times in the right arm, he said, adding that all the bullets were fired into his front.

The bullets did not appear to have been shot from very close range because no gunpowder was present on his body. However, that determination could change if it turns out that there is gunshot residue on Mr. Brown’s clothing, to which Dr. Baden did not have access.

This pretty much disproves the initial 'he was shot in the back while surrendering' story. I still think the officer would have had time to switch to his taser after getting out of his vehicle though.

Pope Francis says he expects to live two or three more years, and may retire

Yeah, so the Pope is hinting he has some 'nerve problems' and may only have a few more years to live, and that'd he'd retire if it became too difficult for him. I imagine there'll be more than a few people left reeling if that happens.

That's an awesome picture. I was just reading that even though we think of meteors as hunks of rock they're more like flying piles of rubble and dirt held together by gravity and van der Waals forces. So it's probably more like a clod than a hunk.

Yeah, to be a stereotype it's hot - with average surface temps of 70C - but acts like it doesn't even know we're there orbiting it.
