I don't know anything about coding. I use the most basic CSS and HTML. No software. I'm learning, though. Gradually.

you know, there's only one real way to code, and that's in machine language. 1's and 0's baby. That way you have complete control over what is displayed down to the last pixel.

Or you can use dreamweaver, it is the best software solution for any level of web design. If you're looking for a free (not pirated) solution, go with the crimson editor, it does all the color-coding, but doesn't auto-complete or highlight incorrect syntax.

If you can't do it in Notepad, it's not worth doing.

Granted, the only coding I've done in years has been split between fortran and matlab scripting...
