Disney is buying Georges Lucas' company and plans to release a 7th Star War movie in 2015.
I sense a disturbance in the forums as if millions of geeks were venting off suddenly. _________________ Meu aerobarca esta cheoi de enguias |

venting off, maybe. probably not a lot of worry. the franchise has pretty much nothing to lose, so all this represents is a cautious new potential. |

Yep, it's almost impossible for Disney to do worse than the Prequels. And I bet there's even a more decent chance of seeing the un-retouched versions of the original Trilogy sometime.
At the same time I'm concerned about Disney's habit of swallowing up other, independent IP giants. |

Episodes 7-9: astoundingly accurate translations of The Hand of Thrawn trilogy, except Grand Admiral Thrawn is recast as a Gungan, with the accent, delivery, and acting to match. _________________ “Yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation”

C'Baoth is played by Russel Brand.
Also the Noghri are too scary. The little aliens normally play well with kids, they need to be friendly and funny! They're now Oompa Loompas. Disney can just buy that IP if they need to. And hey, people liked that yub-yub song the ewoks did, a full musical number will work great! Miley Cyrus will be old enough to play Mara Jade by then-she can lead! _________________ “Yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation”

Forget he prequels, there's no way it can be worse than the steaming pile the Clone Wars CG series has become. _________________

Stray Dog
Scandal for the very first time -- I really liked 90% of this movie and was upset with myself for not having seen it before. The other 10% was a little over-the-top, but still good. _________________ Scire aliquid laus est, pudor est non discere velle

Starship Troopers, I had forgotten how great and terrible it is.
Also: I approve of the Thrawn trilogy idea. _________________ The older I get, the more certain I become of one thing. True and abiding cynicism is simply a form of cowardice. |

Become again, you mean? or do I have to remind you of the first two seasons?
Then, I thought the third and fourth season were pretty frickin' great so I guess it must be the fifth season that grates. Is it?
Disney buying the Star Wars franchise can either mean it's going to very good, or very bad. Here's hoping they don't try to make it more family oriented. Maybe not going for the expanded universe (if there's where they're headed) and instead go for fan favourites, like KotOR. Or if they used that as a template to make it more mature. I'm thinking Blur but live action. That'd be awesome. Also, yes to a release of the unedited originals of the trilogy. _________________ "Apparently so. First to call it: next Star Wars directed by David Fincher, starring Tom Hardy.

Disney was already merchandised to hell about Star Wars when I was there. Star Tours was fun.
I am honestly not opposed to this. I'd like to see the final product of this movie. _________________ I have a face, with a mustache.

Episode Seven is a two-hour long adaptation of Star Tours. In 3D. _________________ “Yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation”
