Reminds me of Niue's pokemon coins -- possible contenders for second awesomest coins? They also apparently have a snoopy one too.... |

Thought of taking an online course? Here's one that looks pretty interesting:
| Coursera wrote: | A Beginner's Guide to Irrational Behavior
Dan Ariely
In this course we will learn about some of the many ways in which people behave in less than rational ways, and how we might overcome these problems.
Next Session:
Mar 25th 2013 (6 weeks long)
Workload: 7-10 hours/week |
Class starts Monday. I've read two of Dan Ariely's books, and another is in my queue on the shelf next to me. I've taken another Coursera class, and I was apparently one of only 4% of those who signed up who made it through the final exam. It took a real commitment of time to get through it all on the course schedule. This one may or may not be as challenging, but don't expect to breeze through just watching a few videos. _________________ The reward for a good life is a good life. |

That looks cool!
Unfortunately I've already signed up for every coursera course even vaguely related to the biological side of my research right now and the workload is becoming a problem...
Coursera is really pretty cool though, I'd recommend it to anyone |

| Quote: | | “Bizarro is just weird fiction,” explained Mellick, “It is literature’s equivalent of cult movies. Outside of being completely out there, the fiction often tends to be campy, pulpy, absurd, and just a lot of fun to read. I can’t really compare it to any other writers outside of bizarro because bizarro fiction is one of a kind. The only thing I could probably compare it to in the fiction world would be children’s books. 'The Little Prince,' 'Alice in Wonderland,' 'Where the Wild Things Are,' 'James and the Giant Peach,' the 'Cat in the Hat'… those are closer to bizarro fiction than any other books out there. Of course, most bizarro fiction isn’t for kids at all. Books like 'The Haunted Vagina,' 'Ass Goblins of Auschwitz,' and 'Rampaging Fuckers of Everything on the Crazy Shitting Planet of the Vomit Atmosphere' might have fun fantastical plots with child-like narratives but they are far from kid’s books.” |
Links added by me. I seriously hope Amazon doesn't go Apeshit on that to power new recommendations for me now. |
