You'd have a hard time getting me there without me knowing (and throwing myself/you out of the car)... but if you did, God help you.

I'm not sure about the context of your comment but it sounds like your high school needed some sex ed.

Uh well not that I disagree (getting an old lady to show slides of STDs and cackle weirdly was about the extent of my school's sex ed) but my comment was in regards to the jesus theme park that encourages people to drag their non-believer friends in.

I got tricked into a lot of pushy religious themed stuff in high school.

The Christian Science Monitor's scientific literacy quiz. It's 50 questions instead of 13, covers more ground, and goes a little deeper. The annoying part is that it refreshes the whole page when you answer a question to show your result, then you have to load the next page.

I got 92%. One of the ones I missed was a total brainfart on my part.

me too also! (except not so much the farting brain) - and i only cheated a little bit.

actually, i was pretty stunned at how many of my guesses turned out to be right.

I was talking to someone about this earlier (in relation to my earlier comment), and we decided these sorts of non-believer traps must be designed for kids. Adults, for a lot of reasons, just wouldn't stand for it or would react against it (even if they might otherwise be receptive). I was a shy kid, and a trap might have worked to shame or quiet me (not to make me a believer), but now? Fuck, you'd be in for a ride. Even if I liked you, which would be a fleeting feeling once you trapped me and subjected me to religious indoctrination.

Oh, yeah. Every bit of it was geared towards kids. The last attempt was in college, to go to a 'christian punk' concert so I guess I wasn't totally young for that one, but the vast majority of it started when I was in middle school and went into high school.

I mean every now and then someone would attempt to appeal to my parents because they thought I was some sort of horrible rebel that needed to be reigned in but all they got was an unimpressed stare and a "you got a problem with my kid?". Unsurprisingly, they usually fled at that point.

An explanation of hauntings (Where people feel dread and chills for no discernable reason, and see flotting shapes out the corner of their eyes.)

although those questions on Supreme Court rulings seem kind of out of place.

They do neatly cut through the popular misconceptions surrounding the issue, though.
