Because it's from a blog about horrible things for sale on the internet: http://theworstthingsforsale.com

Also, there's corn poop soap

when I saw that site, my first thought was, "Oh, wow, that's a slightly clever way to advertise for stupid crap"

I still refused to click on any of their referral links though
I don't know whether you have to actually buy anything in order for them to get paid because I am too lazy to do the twenty seconds of research that would take
but still
I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM MAKING ANY MONEY OFF OF THIS, GODDAMMIT

The open access journal Transformative Works and Cultures just published a paper examining the brony thing as an Alternative Reality Game.

Although bronies are the specific topic of the research, a lot of what it goes into would apply equally well to Adventure Time, or just about any other modern online fandom built around specific fictional worlds where the creator content/fan community interaction is more than one-sided. It's a pretty interesting link to peruse if the phenomenon of internet fandoms tickles your fancy.
