No. The Water people can just put out the flame, the air people can just blow it out and the Earth people can just create a wall of earth around them. Or, once they're on fire, trow sand on themselves.

Whats with no new episodes coming out since "The Rage of Ang" Double feature a few weeks ago? I've going over to my parents house to check their Tivo (which I covertly programmed to catch all avatar that comes down the pipe) like, twice a day and NOTHING. As far as the fire nation goes they are the only nation to use technology to supplement their bending, pretty much. Also GIANT EARTHBENDING BADGERS!!!

Fire = useless. |
And technically, if the flame is hot and large enough, the water will burn into steam, the wind will only feed it and it will grow too fast to be smothered with earth. |

If the flame is large and hot enough, there'll be more water. So the water will still put it out.
Fire in a hurricane is possible? I think not.
And Earth...well...maybe they'll be able to smother it. They're pussies, though. _________________ attitude of a street punk, only cutting selected words out of context to get onself excuse to let one's dirty mouth loose |

I have absolutely no interest in the show, and I have never even watched it once ever ever, but it took me all of two minutes to know all I needed to know to completely bypass this whole 'but X can render Y useless by...' argumentation tangent.
