Very pretty. I wish I had the skin tone to carry off those colors.

Shhhh. Don't ask awkward questions. Have some cocoa. |

We gay men don't deal with skin tones. We only deal with how snazzy the fall colors are going to be. In fact this, is my only scarf that has fall colors in it.
And I don't drink cocoa. I'm a tea drinker. But thanks anyways. _________________ WARNING: Microwave musclebear detection devices in use on these premises!

So whenever I read up on skin tones and shit everything says I should wear pastels or some junk. And gold. I think they're on crack, man, if ever there was a person to rock bold colors mixed with silver, it is me.
But I digress. The reemergence of this thread has uncomfortably reminded me of that dress I never finished that is now half buried in laundry.
Uh. Oops.
Also damnit, now I want to start knitting again. _________________ "Samsally is rude and calls people fuckwits." ~ Dogen |

| I resent this implication that Carole Jackson is not a prophet of skin/clothing color coordination. |

Wear whatever tones you want to, skin tones be damned!
In fact, pick a color and there is a shade that works for you! My biggest problem is that I am two-toned - super pale but dark spots. Foundation is a problem. _________________ Before God created Las he pondered on all the aspects a woman might have, he considered which ones would look good super-inflated and which ones to leave alone.

I still haven't figured out how to make my skin not break out horribly all the time. It's like, why bother wearing foundation when half my chin has decided to be a giant zit? I obviously wouldn't be fooling anyone. It practically distorts the shape of my face and laughs outright at any attempt at color correction.
Supposedly I'd look good in pastels because I have pale eyes. Last time I tried on a powder blue dress everyone cringed. Red it is, thank you. The more obnoxious the better. Maybe it'll distract people from the face eating zit.
I've also been branching into other bright and bold colors. Plum is a new favorite. _________________ "Samsally is rude and calls people fuckwits." ~ Dogen |

It's enough to make you want to turn into a cat and roll around in them.
I have had some luck with getting rid of breakouts by using a salicylic acid medication and then a facial cleanser with glycolic acid in it. |

Whoever said about rolling around when one can simply huff the wool fumes? Getting high with the sheepies, oh yeah. _________________ WARNING: Microwave musclebear detection devices in use on these premises!

I'm really not a Harry Potter fan...
But you need to make one of these anyway. For reasons. |

But I don't want to do that. I'm way to busy with my sweater.
Now, question: Should I do the collar and cuffs in one of the colors I'm using, or should I use another, more saturated blue or black for contrast? _________________ WARNING: Microwave musclebear detection devices in use on these premises!

What if I break out the lanolin lotion and whisper knitting jaron in a soft breathy voice?
Also I think you should go with the colors you are already using. |

Uhm...maybe?
As for the color, you're just echoing everyone else, so I probably will just go with the same colors. _________________ WARNING: Microwave musclebear detection devices in use on these premises!

| I can sweeten the deal by describing the history and process of creating handspun yarn from real wool in suggestive terms. |

You're going to tell me it was crocheted, aren't you? |
