i don't have any particular recommendations, but i know there are a ton of instructional videos on the web. try searching for the specific thing you want to do - cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, bind off. one heads-up - there are tons of different cast-ons and bind-offs, different ones for different purposes - so if the one you find first freaks you out because it seems really complicated, just keep looking - there are simpler ones out there.

I learned from KnittingHelp.com. Very instructionable. *nodnodnod*

That's adorable! And a bit sad. If only he did measurements and took proper gauge.

I finished some stuff! I actually have more things I have finished, but they need to be blocked. (Because I have matured and decided blocking is good.)

I made a doily yesterday:

Was supposed to be a flower, but then it turned into a pentacle. Anyway, I am now a super gay because of my doily making.

Bee monster:

Robot monster:

And then this thing is a monster character a friend asked me to make. I've made two of them so far.

Will have a lot of head scarves blocked later on, and then today I'm hopeful to finish my Riddler themed doily. I may make a Batman one as well. No idea wtf to do with these doilies, but they are fun to make.

OH MY GOD you have a summoning doily that is the best.

I assume its for summoning all those cute little monsters.

your monsters are fantastic. and as for doilies, you just sort of place them around. and see what they summon.

(i personally don't place doilies around because every surface in my house already has a bunch of stuff piled up on it, but you clearly have at least one open space. which you can put a bunch of stuff on.)

also, blocking is AMAZING. it's like advanced magic.

The open spaces are taken over by kitties, so all doilies would become cat hair magnets.

This makes me think I should also try making an Elder Sign doily. And I totally have plans for spiderweb doilies - specifically an irregular triangular piece I can hang in the big picture window.

well, all of my knitting is done with the assistance of cats, so it all has cat-hair as an intrinsic component....so i choose to view that as a feature.

So that baby was born. Here she is wearing the crocheted thing.

Omg it's even more adorable when being worn by an adorable baby!

I finished and blocked my spider web doily.
