A few months ago, I fell into the world of upcycling, which is taking trash and making it into useable items.

IT IS FUN.

So far, I have made...

A basket from a Cheez-Its box:

Two chokers from old bra straps and soda tabs (the other is blue):

Some present bows out of chip bags:

And a whole bunch of paper bead bracelets:

Have any of you upcycled before? What have you made?

My wife's been refurbishing Cabbage Patch dolls back to good-as-new. I've been running D&D campaigns over the internet (which is like upcycling; I take the hobby of people who don't live near any other gamers, and give them something to do with their internet connection once a week that isn't looking up porn).

I turned the skull of my enemy into a drinking cup.

I take yarn harvested from sweaters bought in the rummage shops and knit them into other things. Like hats. Very Happy

I turned a pair of gloves into puppets. They looked like someone had skinned Elmo for them anyway, so it was appropriate.
