Without further information, I'm confused as to how this is such a big deal. Because she's a Pakistan native?
I've had my luggage test positive for explosives twice, and my carryon once. The reaction was NEVER this severe. |

well, clearly it didn't happen right after a major plot to blow things up was uncovered.
and i seem to recall that most (if not all) the guys arrested in britain were of pakistani descent.
what will be interesting to see is what it actually test out as (if anything). _________________ aka: neverscared! |

I heard that they no longer allow you to bring beverages onto planes. This must be a new development, since I was just on a plane on the 1st! Anyone know the truth of this, or do I gotsta wait for my friend to return from Colorado to tell me? _________________ fight |

that's what they were reporting the day after they uncovered the plot - no liquids, gels, anything that might become liquid...
how long they will keep this nonsense up remains to be seen. _________________ aka: neverscared! |

british pilots are complaining already. Not surprising, they're not allowed to carry any toothpaste or beverages |

Two thoughts.
[A] They recommend you bring your basic personal effects in carry-on in case your luggage goes missing, so that you at least can get by until it is found. So what, deoderant and mouthwash don't count anymore? Things could get stinky.
[B] I almost wonder if this is a veiled ploy to get people to buy expensive airport/airplane drinks and other commodities. _________________ fight |

Even the pilots aren't allowed to bring beverages on the plane ? What for a completely silly thing is that. I'd think that you can reasonably expect your pilot not to be a terrorist. If he were what's the difference between the plane getting blown up or getting crashed on purpose ? |
