I'm glad I'm not the only one. Had to look it up on UrbanDictionary.
Anyway, to each their own. But yeah, its a MJ silhouette. He's planning to get two more smaller ones on either side in different poses. *shrug* |

I've got Aerosmith on my body forever. Is the difference because it's a portrait vs. a logo? Where do you draw the line? Either way, there will always be someone out there who thinks it's a terrible tattoo just because they don't like the singer/band. lol
On a completely unrelated note: I'm thinking of getting an antique key tattoo to represent this past year of my life with the whole immigration process & finally becoming a resident. I like the symbolism of keys representing gateways & the keeper of the keys holding the power over what comes in or out. |

This isn't a "I am the keymaster, are you the gatekeeper?" kind of come-on, is it? _________________ 88 NPH |

So first, great av.
Second...I think it's extreme in the sense that you'd have to be a HUUUUGE fan of a singer/band to make an indelible mark on your body to represent them.
I think part of it is the way I think about tattoos. I've always attached a certain spirituality to em, or at least an extra meaning.
Which isn't to say I wouldn't get something like that, it's just that to me, it's got to hold a TON of meaning to get inked on my body. I am however, a musician, and one who loves Aerosmith quite a bit, and I think that if a song changed your life, or an artist, it might be a reason to consider a tattoo to that effect for sure.
So basically...I think I'm cautious about tattoos in general as far as what you're gonna put on your body.
I've only got a tattoo in the works though, not inked yet...so...that could be different after I get my first. _________________ *ahem* |
