I have no tattoos, but I've had an idea for one in my head for a long time. However, I suck at drawing. I'll probably get a tattoo eventually, once I find something I really really like.
What I'm thinking of, if anyone wants to draw something for me, is a tribal style (bold dark likes) frog.
Kinda like:
or
(yes I know its not a frog, its the style of it that I like)
but in this kind of a pose:
If anyone would like to draw something for me, I would appreciate it. |

Never did tribal before. I'll take it as a challenge and post what I come up with and leave it up to you to mark yourself up with it. |

I got one on the inside of my wrist, it hurt for about a minute before it just went numb and tingly. The feeling is addictive, and some day I'll get one on the other wrist. |

I've matching tattoos on each arm, got as a graduation present back in '01.
http://img19.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=leftback.jpg.
The word on the left arm is "ralashi", the verb "to live". On the right arm is "ralysh", the verb "to die". _________________ (( Tiogshi Laj :: Average ASCII Artisan And Ambitiously Anachronistic Assonanteur ))

Honestly, I like the eyes blank. *shrug*
I've been wanting a tattoo for a long time now.. and I finally found out a month ago that a friend of mine is finishing up her internship as a tattoo artist.. so now I'm just waiting for her to schedule a time for me to come in. Decided I want the constellation of Orion on my left shoulder blade. Sketched this up as the basic idea:
Its not the established outline of him.. I know he's usually depicted wearing a toga. But when I look into the sky, thats how I see him. |

Wonderful ink, everyone! =)
I love tattoos & hearing the stories behind them.
Lemontree-Orion is my favourite constellation too! I can't wait to see it. |

I have the one on the back of my neck that I rather like.
I have the location for my next one but not the image. Well I actually have the image but it is too depressing. I want the inside of my left arm to have a tattoo, and not a small one, though I am lightly concerned that scar tissue will make it difficult to tattoo. Really it doesn't matter yet as it would be a disastrous place to have a tattoo for the business world (I hate sleeves) and I can't decide on an image.
But I really want it. _________________ Before God created Las he pondered on all the aspects a woman might have, he considered which ones would look good super-inflated and which ones to leave alone.

You should get Taurus on your right shoulder blade.
Actually, a star-map full-back tattoo would be pretty hot.
No ink for me. Not yet. I admire people who fill their forearms with things that they like, but I haven't thought of anything I'd be willing to commit to. The thing is, there are a lot of things I'd like to do with each of my body parts.
If I ever end up living or doing volunteer work in a place where they actually do authentic tribal tattoos, I'll be getting one of those for sure. Something with significance, y'know? I would love to get real moko done on my neck or back... |

Scar tissue doesn't absorb ink well at all, so it's really hard to tattoo over it. IIRC, talking to my inker, he said if does take, it just ends up spreading out into a smear, especially when/if the scar tissue does eventually heal.
I'd love a leg tattoo to complement my forearms, but my legs are hairier than the lower half of a wookie costume. It's pretty much just chest and forearm options for me, and I've never had an idea for either of those areas that I liked for more than a couple weeks. _________________ (( Tiogshi Laj :: Average ASCII Artisan And Ambitiously Anachronistic Assonanteur ))

I've got one drawn out and designed and I just need to go find the artist I trust enough to do it, and I'll be gravy. _________________ *ahem* |

BLK: I am really looking forward to you getting yours! I know it means so much to you & it will be beautiful.
As for me, I have 3 so far & want a few more.
I've got pointe shoes on my ankle because I am very passionate about dance & it's a huge part of who I am.
I also have an Aerosmith logo on my back. I got it to symbolize my love of music & to show appreciation for their work & how happy it makes me.
And lastly is my Canada tattoo. Maple leaves & Trilliums(Ontario's provincial flower) to represent my home & family. I got it as soon as I learned I would be moving to the US. It means so much to me & I will always have a piece of home with me no matter where I am. I love it.
I am itching to get another one, but I have no idea where any good shops are around here & I'm too poor. Boo. |

At the end of this quarter when I go down to Texas for vacation, I'm getting two small tattoos on the inside of either wrist. A pair of chef's knives on one, and a fire on the other. (In the culinary field you usually end up cutting the christ out of your offhand and burning the bajeezus out of your main hand. Ain't I sentimental?) |
