| Well, my girlfriend's fever spiked to 104.8 today, so her doctor finally agreed to see her. Gotta love how anti-viral med rationing means that until you're in the danger zone, doctors can't help you. |

Madness. In the UK, we have "anti-viral collection points" where anyone can come and collect free tamiflu. They are the least busy of all our many health centres. Maybe 3 people per day.

I don't understand why you would pass up free tamiflu. The shit is expensive, takes forever to make more of and is effective against a huge variety of flu viruses. It has a 5 year shelf life.

Well you'd have to lie to get it. We're english, we don't do that :-p Also, you only get told about the ACP by your GP if you're diagnosed with flu.
But yea, free healthcare is a dreadful thing. Imagine actually funding effective flu prevention. Ridiculous.
