No, Monique turns a lot of heads in the comic, they just rarely if ever make a return. Whenever she meets a man whose imune to her domination, something comes along to fuck it up (re: The Date arc).

I agree that this was not out of 'Nique's charcter at all. She is regularly torn between being the (sort of) good girl who cares and the bad slut who doesn't, as many real life women (and men) are.
And, I get the impression that she has lots of exs.
Finally, she does not look bad at all.

I think this comic echos back to her earlier personality before she devoloped into the pensive full personality 'Nique we love today. Initially she was an archtype of 16-year-old slutty girls in the 90s. Like in this strip:
I can totally relate to this (8/24/06) strip, very amusing and revealing of Monique's character.
And the tiny pony-tail is cute. |
