I would think you'd want to do the same with the "world of science" threads, as the last few (dozen) rarely warrant more than a page's worth of discussion.

ya gotta look at how the page view count goes up. Sometimes if a thread is too universally appealing most people will just go "Yep, that's cool." and that really doesn't generate as much conversation as an ongoing event or a heated debate will; there's not much to say when everyone is agreement.
