We call it a passion, though only when a team wins do we actually have a riot...

For the most part, this thread is Greek to me.
Except this...

I hope nobody has Vanderjagt (or however you spell the name) on their team (from Dallas.) After tonite, I wonder how quickly Parcells cuts him tomorrow....

I know that Parcels has had to deal with Meshawn for so many years, but how doesn't he choke the life out of Owens on a daily basis?

because owens is still the msot physically gifted WR in the League. he's not quite as fast as he used to be, with the groin and hamstring problems he's had the last couple of years. But, he's still one of the strongest and most fit players in the entire NFL. he's a freak, in a lot of way.

if he wasn't sucha headcase, he could have easily surpassed all of jerry rice's numbers, and this is coming from a a HUGE Rice fan. heh. T.O. could have been the greatest, something he obivously wants, and probably should have been but never will be because the way he went about trying to be it. heh.

in any case, it seems my late-round picks of Lundy and Jacobs are gonna pay off bigtime. i hope Dominick Davis end up on IR.

Oh, I don't think anybody would doubt Owens' ability.

But just the same, look what he's done in the places he's been. I think he's shown that ability only goes so far when you are a cancer in the locker room.

Conversely, look at how Bill Belichick has been successful, without that marquee player; though Tom Brady is quickly establishing himself as one. In fact, it seems that NE gets rid of anyone who looks to put himself above the team too much.

it seems Deion Branch is about to be traded. he supposedly has tentative contract deals with the Jets and Seahawks. whoever matches New England's trade demands gets him. heh.

As a seahawk fan I say take Branch and send the Pats D-Jack. Ah... just a pipe dream though.

And on T.O. , I still can't believe the crap he gets away with. The most telling thing to me is when had an interview on dateline or something, where he said he makes every team he's on better on and off the field. Oh, and that he's never been the problem in all of the cities that he's played in. Complete and total headcase...

sure can catch though

Here's my team for my other money league. i'm kind of betting the farm on the Bengals, but i think they're the team to beat this year. they're loaded on offense AND defense and Marvin Lewis is a helluva coach. aaaaanyway, the keeper rules are the same in this league as they are in the other one i'm in, with one exception.

in this league, if a drafted player is traded, that player can still be kept. in the other league, traded players cannot be kept.

as noted below, i drafted a guy that got cut earlier in the day, but that's OK. i needed to pick up Anthony Wright for this team as well. Then, I would have the primary backup to all of my top players, which is nice.

also, this leage starts a flex player, with this breakdown:

1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE , 1 Flex(WR or TE), 1 D/ST, and 1 K. i think i should do well.

LaDainian Tomlinson, RB
Carsn Palmer, QB
Chad Johnson, WR
Jeremy Shockey, TE
T.J. Houshmenzadeh, WR
Corey Dillon, RB
Chicago Bears D/ST
Wali Lundy, RB
Laurence Maroney, RB
DeAngelo Williams, RB
Doug Gabriel, WR
Matt leinart, QB
Michael Turner, RB
Dallas Clark, TE
Vernand Morency, RB
Shayne Graham, K
Zach Hilton, TE (I didn't realize this guy got cut, but that's OK. There are some decet free agents still in the pool for this league.)
Kevin Curtis, WR
San Diego Chargers D/ST
