I'm in a private Yahoo league with a bunch of friends. It's important to note that the scoring system is a bit messed up, but I'm still doing well enough.

QB D.McNabb (phi)
RB T. Barber (nyg)
RB B. Westbrook (phi)
WR S. Smith (car)
WR A. Toomer (nyg)
WR D. Jackson (sea)
TE A. Crumpler (atl)
K A. Vinatieri (ind)
DEF Miami
D C. Tillman (chi)
D A. Thomas (bal)
DB M. Manuel (gb)
DL N. Barnett (gb)

On the Bench I have
QB2 B. Favre (gb)
RB3 J. Lewis (bal)
WR4 G. Jennings (gb)
WR5 D. Mason (bal)
K2 R. Gould (chi)

I'm going to have to get a little creative with players reaching their bye weeks, but so far I've done quite well. I finished first in points for the first two weeks and if Crumpler can catch a TD tonight I'll be the top point-scorer for week three as well.

In my league, that team would be dominating right now, Mizike. looks pretty solid to me.

I'm not sure I would like playing in a league with IDPs though. Keeping track of defensive players would get way too hairy, I think.

Madden jinx strikes again!

Also, could I persuade someone living in the Miami district to "accidentally" push Culpepper into traffic? I'm sick of my TE getting absolutely nothing week in and week out.

Looks like Warner might be getting demoted and here I was hoping he would last at least to week 10. Get the cameras ready for the Warner pouting face. This puts me in a difficult spot since Culpepper has been an absolute trainwreck and I think Brady's lack of legitimate receiving targets got exposed this week. Maybe I should pick up Pennington off of the waiver wire, but I have my concerns about weak armed QBs with shoulder problems Confused

Yeah, but I didn't start Westbrook this past weekend since I didn't think he'd play all that much. He was questionable for goodness' sake. You lied to me, Andy Reid! You bastard!

Defensive players are fun for me since I often prefer that aspect of the game.

i picked up Marques Colston and John Carney (cost me $10 for a god damn kicker. silly auctions), but it paid off. those two guys brought me back for the win last night.

as it stands, i'm 2-1 in both leagues now.

i keep leaving buckhalter on my roster, in case of a westbrook injury, but what i think is happening is that andy reid is pulling that bellicheck bullshhit of giving out only mystery injury reports to fuck with the upcoming opponent. heh.

i thought the whole thing was kind of sketchy. the tv station that broke the whole thing did get the police report officially and the cops later said the report the tv station had was incorrect.

so, if i had to "pick a side" i would say that i believe T.O. and not the initial report. heh. he never struck me as the suicide type.

Yes I can't imagine TO ever killing himself, unless it some kind of Narsisus fate.

I was so happy to look at the waiver wires and see Desmond Clark available. Being tied to the Bear's offense isn't pleasant, but it's a dream compared to being tied to Culpepper. I find it amusing though that I'm standing at 2-1 despite having the lowest average point production in the league. Timing, timing, timing Razz

Get to play the league leader now, but outside of QB (he has both Manning brothers) his team is pretty mediocre. Here's hoping the Jets contain him.

Desmond Clark is probably going to be OUT for this weekend against Seattle, but i have to start him anyway, just in case he gets on the field because my only other TE is Shockey and he's on a bye this weekend. oh well. there were other options for me as far as free agents, but i'm at a point with my roster that i don't want to drop anyone else.

Eric Johnson might be a good pickup for you as well, at TE, though. With Vernon Davis out, he's going to get a lot of action. He was hurt last year, but the year before, he was the Niners leading receiver, with something like 84 catches.

Yeah I think I'll take you up on that tip. I remember what a great TE he was. I think as long as Stallworth can play and be say 85% against that horrendeous GB pass defense I should be in good shape.

i'm rooting for your Hawkeyes tonight, Mizike. if they knock off the OSU Fuckeyes, that makes more room at the top for my Mountaineers. w00t!
