| Quote: | Jenny McCarthy
“Many people ask me if I had to do it all over again with a new baby, would I vaccinate? The answer is no. Hell no. Most parents who know they have a vaccine-injured child usually are that adamant about it."
Jim Carrey
“With many states like Minnesota now reporting one in 80 children affected with autism, can we afford to trust those who serve two masters or their logic that tells us ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to vaccines?”
Don Imus
“As everybody on the planet knows, thimerosal is a neurotoxin. Injecting it at the levels they do and used to do, and still do, by the way, into the bloodstreams of infants must do something.”
Joe Scarborough
“I can’t prove it, but intuitively, you look at the spike [in autism], you look at thimerosal, there is no doubt in my mind… we’re gonna find out that thimerosal causes, in my opinion, autism.”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“It’s time for the CDC to come clean with the American public. Its tactics of deception and obfuscation are jeopardizing the credibility of the entire vaccine program and posing an enormous danger to public health.”
Joe Lieberman
“Parents still have to be very careful in the application of vaccines to their kids. That’s what I’ve asked my kids to do with my grandkids.” |

a coworker of mine, otherwise rational, buys the "there sure seem to be a lot of good arguments" line from the anti-vaccine folk.

Jim Carrey is a douche and we should have revoked his passport long ago and watched him freak out as his Visa expired and he got kicked out into the ocean by his beloved America.

I have had a fairly large number of people ask me if I think it's safe for them to get the vaccine....
First off I have no idea why they'd ask me. They did though. So I tell them that adverse side effects are very rare and that it is simply the smart thing to do. Then I tell them to go hit the CDC website or the national institute of health website.
As an Ironic side note, there was a big stink about the 1976 swine flu vaccine too and one thing they are finding now is that those who got the 1976 vaccine are still getting some protection from the current outbreak. Although they too should get the new vaccine. _________________ "Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid" ~ SGT John Stryker from "Sands of Iwo Jima". |

i blame glenn beck, and his standard "the government is going to kill you line"
although i note he is getting all foxy, and refusing to state whether or not he is getting vaccinated, and letting everyone else use their judgment. any takers on a bet that he was standing in line waiting when the first batches came out? he's an idiot, but i'll bet he knows damn well it's safe, and he's not going to chance his health - but he'll sure let other people take the risk for his ideology.
my aunt, who despite being a basically nice lady actually listens to that jerk, is not sure she is going to get the h1n1 vaccine, although she has already gotten the regular flu shot. her daughter, who works part-time in a medical clinic that was pretty well swamped with flu cases this last week, is the same way - regular flu shot good, h1n1 (made exactly the same way) not so much. i asked her why, and she didn't have a reason....just, she didn't think she was going to do it. _________________ aka: neverscared! |

Nah, there is enough to blame him for without this. This is just the result of crazy people getting airtime because their crazy views are crazy and crazy and so on wtf.
Ok, it's fucked up but I'm pretty sure Beck isn't behind it. _________________

he's not behind it, but he's sure pushing it.
....which i guess means he _is_ behind it, sort of, because you have to be behind to push. but he didn't start it.
........which i guess is why he has to push, if it won't start.
