At the risk of being ridiculed I rather liked fire fly. They didn't even end up airing the whole season.

Yes saying you like Firefly will totally get you ridiculed on here.
Or anywhere on the internet. _________________

Not a clue. Best sci-fi series ever in my opinion. _________________

I'm with Samsally on this one. Still it's definitely up there in my book. _________________ "Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid" ~ SGT John Stryker from "Sands of Iwo Jima". |

oh, and i watched every single episode of babylon 5. at least once. and what was with canceling crusade so quickly? |
To be fair, Crusade was underwhelming. To me, B5's main grace (amongst others) was it's use of politics, G'Kar is still my favourite character out of the whole cast, making it quite different from what were the other sci-fi shows then. I like the old BSG, but really ugh.
Crusade jumped the shark: Foes nastier than shadows, lotsa moar powerful, but trapped in whatsnot dimension. Gandalf in space. Second-rate Kirk-clone captain. All it lacked was miss Piggy and we had pig in space. And that was right from the start.

well, i was figuring it would build. b5 was more together in the later seasons than the early ones; it takes time for these things to gel.
just checked my netflix queue and discovered farscape is now available as instant-play (or whatever they call that) - so now i can catch up on that. that was another one not findable on my local cable, until the last few eps. _________________ aka: neverscared! |

Babylon 5 was genius until the last series. As soon as the shadows and vorlons left the galaxy, it was pointless. _________________ Ironically, Halen's one of the few people here I wouldn't worry about terrifying my friends and family. I'm ringing in with support for Firefly. And saying hello again, because it's been a while, and I missed you all. Sorta. *cough* _________________ *ahem* |

i'm sure your sister is a lovely person, but this makes me think she completely misunderstands science fiction - at its best it's just another way to explore people - which is why she likes firefly. _________________ aka: neverscared! |
