Plus, by definition, twins (even dizygotic) implant at roughly the same time... so being born two years apart would require some way to pump amniotic fluid back into the mother and then plug her up... which, I dunno, seems weird to me.

This inappropriately struck me as funny. I'm sure the word is pronounced DIE-zie-Got-ic (or something close), but I read it in my head as Dizzy-Gotic. Like a jazz trumpeter who is pale and wears mostly black clothes.
