So apparently, the live action Cowboy Bebop will be released next year, starring Keanu Reeves of all people. . .

| It was good as a TV series, exploited basically everything the serial format had to offer in interesting ways, but the animated movie did nothing that wasn't already covered in the TV show. I don't think a live action version can even measure up to that, so I've got no plans to see it. |

Keeanu Reeves, I can't appreciate.
I'm more curious about who they can get to pull off Ed that wouldn't make me want to start killing people. I... don't usually appreciate the "humorous" member of the group... (for instance, that guy who plays the black guy in Thirty Rock and who has been in some other movies and stuff... I hate him with a passion) _________________ “Yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation”

From what Ive been told, take that as you will, Faye and Ed wont even be in it. Its supposed to be a live action of the first episode, extended of course. Again, take that as you will. I cant see them not casting a scantily clad woman to draw revenue.
Also, after milling about it for a while, Keanu may make a good Spike. Spike has a super relaxed feel with a fairly monotonous tone. We know he can do fighting scenes. Hes not the greatest actor, but he portrays alot of Spikes characteristics pretty well. _________________ I have a face, with a mustache.

Yeah, you may be right. I suppose there's potential...
I simply can't believe they'd leave out Faye. I mean... they're really going to pass up a T&A character? Really? _________________ “Yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation”

It would be fiscally irresponsible imo. Of course know ing the current trend of things we'd end up with a Kardashian playing her. _________________ I have a face, with a mustache.

Yeah, I prefer the more serious characters in 30 Rock too. I mean, there's Tina Fey & the gang, all doing a serious drama about the hard work that goes into making a network television show, and then Tracey Morgan bounces in a ruins it all by being 'funny'.
Also, CT, he doesn't 'play' a black guy in 30 Rock. He is a black guy, who plays 'a guy' in 30 Rock. It's not fucking boot polish. _________________

But G-man, black is an attitude portrayed exclusively on tv.

I agree about the movie, except for the fight scene at the end. It's a really fluid, dynamic and well-directed piece of animation. It's a definite step above anything in the series.

So I was talking to a friend of mine about it, and apparently, ever since Keanu found out they were going to make a live action Cowboy Bebop, he was trying to get the role of Spike. So I'm happy for him that he gets to fulfill a dream of his.
I just keep picturing him from the Bill and Ted's movies and going: "Woah!" _________________ "Your weapons are no match for ours! People of Mars, surrender!"
"Um, this isn't Mars. This is Earth."
"Earth? Earth-with-nuclear-weapons Earth?"
"Yes."

Cowboy Bebop was a good series and all but it's old hat by now. I watched that series like 10 years ago. If they wanted to make a movie why didn't they do it then? _________________ Eureka00: "Reminding you of your addictions" since 1982.
