except sometimes they actually succeed
and that terrifies me
those are nervous laughs caused by existential despair
I don't actually think there's anything funny about any of this _________________ butts |

Well let's be fair, there was SOME improvement. It's just that it seemed to happen kind of by accident, and only in the first three years or so. |

something you actually try for _________________ butts |

idk
I liked Dominic Deegan
but only in long marathons numbing my mind to everything about it that annoyed me _________________ butts |

I think I stopped reading right at the Siggy In Hell part. That was after the first Orc saga, right? |

I also liked Dominic Deegan
but there were whole forums dedicated to hating his comic
I can't help wonder why
it's like watching a club obsessively hate Twilight and all they do is talk about Twilight
except that I can sort of imagine why they would hate Twilight
but then again I couldn't stand talking about it longer than 10 minutes
so the fact that they can means they must be fan of it in some way
does the same thing go for Dominic Deegan?
Haven't read the comic in ages. |

the socialized hate happens because they are sad and lonely and having a common enemy is a cheap way to form a cohesive group
even if that enemy is just a comic someone makes in their spare time as a hobby
and people who just like to complain about things or critique things or whatever can sometimes throw some fuel on the fire, too
and with Twilight you get people who point out its more problematic elements in an effort to make the world a better place, and also the counter-culture why-is-this-vapid-shit-so-popular crowd
not so many of those in the Dominic Deegan hate club, though _________________ butts |

This thread feels more appropriate for my ranting about health insurance, at this point. Healthcare.gov kinda sorta works on my wife's iPad, so she was trying to run through it today. The fun bit? It accepts her social security number, but doesn't recognize mine. Helpful! Maybe it thinks I'm dead? Also it kinda looks like it's going to be way more expensive than the preview/no-login-required page was listing...
The briefing we had yesterday (after work) was a fiasco, as predicted. Our HR rep's late notice meant that I was only one of two people actually able to attend. Both of us had questions on HSAs, and left more confused than we started. On the plus side she ALSO managed to piss off at least one high level manager with how she handled it, so I can take solace in knowing that absolutely nothing will come of it. |
