This is my 4143rd post. 4143 is the concatenation of the decimal expansions of two consecutive primes. These two primes also happen to be twin primes.

It is also a "Super-3 Number," meaning 3*4143^3 contains the substring "333" in its decimal expansion (213336936621).

It has 8 terms in its Zeckendorf representation, and 2*(4143)+1, 4*(4143)+1 and 6*(4143)+1 are all prime.

4143 is the number of redundant function representations of x^x^x^x^x^x^x^x^x^x ( that's ten x's) with parentheses inserted in all possible ways.

Asteroid 4143 Huziak is a Thimistian asteroid named in honor of Richard Huziak, a Canadian amateur astronomer.

This is my 4143rd post yet again!

there are exactly 4143 connected graphs with 10 vertices that have odd girth at least 7

furthermore, 4143 is the 17th number that has 3 '3's and 2 '1's in its base five expansion
this is interesting because seventeen, in base five, is written 32

I reject your narrow definition of nerdiness to things mathematical and found on google.

My source on the asteroids and the steel was Wikipedia, not Google. I try not to use Google, anyway. There are other options for all of their services, and Google's been getting on my nerves.

The One True Nerd must accept the superiority of the number 4143.

There isn't a Wikipedia article for 4143_(number) yet. Perhaps I should write one. Then again, original research isn't allowed on Wikipedia, so it kind of sucks for maths, because you have to find sources for everything, which isn't really how math works. I don't think anyone else has noticed the thing with 4143 in base five, for instance. Also, Wikipedia, even the mathematicians of wikipedia, in their eternal foolishness, might flag such information as irrelevant, or even delete it, but clearly it is not irrelevant because it is my postcount!

I just amused myself for fifteen minutes imagining that I was on a televised gameshow and was asked to define "abutment."
Perhaps I should get more sleep.

I'm not a prolific wiki editor, but I chuckle every time I look at my contributions. This is the list in reverse chronological order, condensed to remove multiple edits of the same pages:
    Mental disorders and gender
    Junctional ectopic tachycardia
    Folk psychology
List of standardized tests in the United States
    Dalai Lama
    Young Hegelians
    Spats (footwear)
    Non-economic damages cap
    Sangha
    Three Treasures (Taoism)
    Backronym
    Bellingham, Washington
    Travis Roy
    DBC
    Aaron T. Beck
    Logie Awards of 1959
    Clara (rhinoceros)

I always think, "What the hell did I know about Clara the rhinoceros?" but never go back to find out what minor edit I made (probably fixing a preposition or punctuation or something).

I always want spats but I don't really own the kind of shoes that would make them even a little bit useful/cool looking.

I want them, but only the kind I had in the Navy. Unfortunately, they don't sell those in any surplus stores I know of.

i thought they sold everything in surplus stores except actual weapons.

which suggests that spats can be used as combat weapons.

.....great, now that i've said that, the ninjas will probably come for me.

Don't worry, it won't be a massacre. Just a little spat.

I've found them in Canadian surplus stores, but they are kind of hard to come by because the only units that use them here nowadays are the Highlanders regiments.

Also, I'd say that disarmed mortar shells could count as 'weapons'. Those fucker are like, 6 pounds of cast iron and really hurt if you get hit with one during an errant game of mortar-football.

I've got my final in 5 days and a report due.

I can't handle the amount of procrastination going on right now.

i finally signed up for the course! and i got a discount without even having to prove i was on staff because the system still had a record of another certificate program i was enrolled in some....many....years ago and so it knew i was an alumna and gave me a discount for that.

it still had my grades and everything, which i don't even remember.

which is just a little scary.

and now i need to find the book, which is probably going to scare me even more.

bigwords.com is your friend, order the paperback international version if you can find it (if it's a textbook rather than a novel - I don't know what you're taking).

Sincerely,
