of course now that you really need it you probably can't get it - but don't they make some sort of heating tape for pipes? i seem to recall my mom had something like that for the pipes in the garage.

It was rainy all day today. That means I didn't get to walk my dog for the usual couple of hours. That means I had time to think.

Time to think about building a laser rifle.

If you start a comment in a conversation that is not about writing with the phrase, "As a writer..." there is a high chance of eye rolling. A very high chance.

As a psychologist/nurse/whatthefuckever, I find it pretentious.

As an artist, I feel I have a lot to say about nursing.
Wait, that's not what I mean.
Nursery.
No, still not.
Nursation?

so i was checking out weather.com to decide what to wear this week and noticed that today will be the coldest day of the week - high predicted to be only 78, rest of the week will be in the 80's. and i was thinking how quick everyone was to point to the polar vortex as proof that global warming doesn't exist. and that got me wondering - has anyone (on fox) ever once pointed to higher-than-average temps as proof that global warming is real?

as a social commentator, I find it fascinating

as a basement dweller, I wish to avoid conversations with these people

but as the Pony of Pop, I find it SEN-SATIONAL, OW

except I don't, really, I'm just being over the top and carrying my show persona into my day-to-day life

They're saying it's going to go SLIGHTLY ABOVE FREEZING for at least like an hour in the midafternoon later this week, so it's positively scorching compared to what I was expecting.
I mean, it's already warm enough that I can comfortably go outside without insulated pants (during the daytime, anyway), which is a bit unusual, but it's going to get EVEN WARMER

as a blogger, I predict that if my basement dwelling thaws out, the entire southwest corner of the United States will be completely flooded by the permafrost

I'm kidding about the basement, of course. No one has basements around here on account of all the radioactive gas.

Their incorrect autocorrect isn't that horrible. I still miss the Boolean operators and the default quote-means-verbatim behavior.

I miss them not associating absolutely everything I do on the internet with my real name
but I suppose they were always doing that

or at the very least have done it retroactively

THEY KNOW I LIKE ELECTRO SWING AND PONIES
THEY KNOW I LIKE THOSE THINGS

THEY WERE PROMOTING NEW ELECTRO SWING STUFF TO ME (UNPROMPTED) JUST YESTERDAY

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaAAaAAAAaaaaaa

They got rid of that? Wish I'd known that, I've been trying to use quotes all this time.

Quotes still kind of work, well enough for most purposes, but verbatim isn't strictly enforced unless you then go to the Search Tools and select it.

Yes, I'm very soured on Google since the Youtube thing(s), and then the "Anybody can email you through your G+ profile by default" thing that just happened. And all of this is made much worse by the Real Name thing. By sheer coincidence I ran across a Slate article that articulates the problem succinctly.
