Finally.

Edit: I love it.

From Truth Ministries' Website:
Quote:
SPARTANBURG, SC (August 28, 2008) - "I would like to know what is meant by your billboard about Asians??? Please let me know so I can understand this before I get too upset without understanding exactly what this means." (a recent email)

January 2006 we received a grant to purchase three billboards, one in Greenville SC and two in Spartanburg. The billboard read "Are you Gay or Lesbian and don't want to be? There is hope for change." To see the original billboard and a related article by the Spartanburg Herald Journal click here. This billboard was shortly after Photoshoped and posted on several national sites as a spoof on our ministry. We have had hundreds, if not thousands, of emails and calls on this spoofed billboard. It surprises us to see this continued national trend on this almost three year old billboard. To read our reference to the word "change" click here. If you have just wandered on this question and don't know what we're referring to, Google "Are you Asian and don't want to be". An additional story at the time of the billboards.

Originally, we had a FAQ request and answer on this. As it did not slow down the quantity of the emails, that are usually filled with expletives, we pulled the FAQ. With continued interest that seem to be less hate filled but genuinely curious I decided to post this answer.

Just as the ad said--if you "don't want to be"--if you want help, great. If you don't want help, then our ministry is not for you. We are not here to slam those that are happy being gay. Now, many feel that we are filled with hate saying that there is hope for change. I would say that scripture says otherwise in 1 Cor. 6:11--"and that is what some of you were, but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." If you or others have a problem with scripture, then your or their issue is not with Truth Ministry but with God.

FYI, changing sexuality depends on three things:
1. The root issues that are involved.
2. How much support a person has.
3. One's ability and willingness to face difficult personal issues.

Also:
Quote:
It is not unusual for the process of change to take 5-10 years. This is no reason to despair. Significant relief from the intensity of homosexual feelings can also come much sooner. If God is part of the process, He will walk with you, protect you, direct your path, and shine His light into the darkness.
...which sounds pretty gay to me.

Doble-Edit: Here's the original:

Pretty funny since every knows that Asians can't be gay*.

*Everyone being Margaret Cho's mom and Asians being Koreans.

Hey ! Magritte was Belgian ! (and surrealist)

How to make the difference between French and Belgians ?

-If you don't understand anything to these people, they're French.
-If you don't understand anything to these people but they're somehow funny, they're Belgian.
