Now I fully admit that I rarely read commentary such as the one linked above in detail because my brain starts to go to mush. Instead I skim and then go back if necessary.

The thing Chuck Norris doesn't like: that there is a lawsuit by a bunch of atheists that want to block the engraving of "In God We Trust" and the pledge of allegiance.

While I disagree with his reasoning, it does seem like a silly lawsuit. Is the Freedom from Religion Foundation just trying to go at these mottoes from the side? Have they tried/failed a frontal assault? I just don't get it unless it is a kneejerk reaction, especially since the "In God We Trust" is quite old and the pledge of allegiance... well that hasn't gone so well either.

Don't get me wrong, Norris is fundamentalist christian batshit insane (he started his own martial art school and his rules.... well they are nuts). I mean, look who he is writing for!
