I'm looking for someone that is interested in making a comic(web or otherwise) with me. The concept is superheroes that are more realistic than the standards. There will be potential to draw some epic battles, but mostly it will feature a lot of dramatic scenes that will require a range of expressions.
Requirements: able to draw realistic people with a variety of expression. Able to follow direction. Able to put up with me.
Anyone interested? |

Yeah, I try to present the worst case scenario so that those that go for it are typically pleasantly surprized.
Works out much better than disappointment. |

I honestly don't expect anything, but trying to find help here doesn't take much effort.
I've also read The Watchmen, but think that even it was a little too unrealistic for my liking. I still think it was a brilliant story, but it's not what I would write. |

I would bite, but i'm far too busy procrastinating on my own stuff to place any effort into anything else unless it really catches my attention. I actually can get lots of work done if i have someone to whip and put blinders on me.
Would this be a strip-based comic, or are we working with full pages? I assume the latter. _________________ Look Down! Mister!

| Why don't you just write a story if you can't draw well enough? |

A valid question. That's a route that I will probably take, although I do ultimately want it to become a comic.
Riot, full page layouts. If you're interested, I can give you some pretty detailed descriptions for a couple pages. I really only need lineart, but if you can do your own coloring as well that's a plus. I'm decent enough with photoshop to handle the coloring if need be. |

Yes, I have considered making my own comic, and yes I have considered putting a more realistic spin on the typical superhero mythos.
I can only conclude that you are, in fact, a powerful psychic leading a team of gifted youngsters in a fight to preserve humanity from enslavement by misanthropic metahumans.
And that your weakness is stairs. |

What about Lowfatrate and Fatfreerate people?
TIAB, i am interested in your comic. I thought about it, and i think it would be a good idea. The only problem is, on my side, i have next to no paneling experience. I have done a lot of research, and have done some strips, but not really any full page layouts. So basically, i'd be learning as we go. I am an ample artist though.
I am also learning when it comes to CGing, but i think i may be able to pull off simple comic book coloring. If all fails, my wife does some nice CG work, if i can coax her to do some coloring. She is kinda busy with projects nowadays tho. =\
Here are some samples of my work:

There is not a lot there atm, as for right now we are without a scanner. I hope to remedy this in a couple of days. Please let me know what you think. '-' _________________ Look Down! Mister!

A little potato soup just came out my nose. And, I think, a small bit of ham. _________________ All our final decisions are made in a state of mind that is not going to last. - Marky Mark Proust |
