Its pretty simple really, every 2 to 4 years, the u.s. undergoes a mass amnesia where we forget who exactly started off the problems we elected their counterparts to fix. Furious that they did not fix in 2 years a situation that took a decade to develop, the aforementioned amnesia sets in and we re-elect the party that caused all the problems we're angry about in the first place.

I favor the Poli Sci view, whereby all election outcomes are preordained by the economy, the only question is how bad will it be.



So far, it could be worse. Dems lose the house, of course, but it could still be worse.
