i don't think we recruit people, per se. i think we stumble across them in the course of our adventures, have some sort of death-defying bonding experience, and then they just join in.

for 'death-defying bonding experience', i would suggest something like braving the day-after-thanksgiving sales, but that is too frightening even for a cool archer like me. (well, it's hard to draw the bow properly in those crowds).

No no, we got this, we'll just put you in the cart, that way you've got elbow room (being about three feet taller than the people around you) AND your extra height will give you a better shot.

We'll hide whoever holds the ring in the cart with you for protection. I dunno they can like duck down by your knees or something. The dwarves and other hobbits can flank the cart and bowl down anybody that gets in the way.

Lol, when I was a senior in high school I corrupted a very well intentioned little Catholic freshman with The Very Very Secret Diaries and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac.

I was a really horrible role model.

But yeah, there's definitely going to be otters involved because otters are awesome.
