I think Halfpint was providing a source to dispute Neraren's claim. There's video evidence. The police have seen it.

I'd second dazed's request for a source that says that Irwin didn't pull the barb from his chest.

All those who wanted to see the video, won't. His wife says she hasn't even seen the video and it will never air.

Quote:
In an interview with ABC's Barbara Walters that was to air Wednesday in the United States, Irwin she said she hasn't seen the film of her husband's deadly encounter with the stingray and that it won't ever be shown on television.

"What purpose would that serve?" the American-born Irwin said. Excerpts of the interview were released in advance by ABC.

Irwin's friend and business partner, John Stainton, has seen the film. He told Walters he never wants to see it again and doesn't want anyone else to see it. "It's just a horrible piece of film tape," he said.

Good. It's absolutely ghoulish to want to see it.

Not saying I want to see it, but these things have a way of leaking out. So it probably will eventually.

I watched the interview last night with Steve Irwin's wife Terri. I hate watching interviews like that, it was really sad. The sadest thing to hear was her saying "I've lost my prince." =(
