oh thank god.
because (speaking as someone who runs computer models all the time), it is indeed just that simple! models are always completely able to handle the variance in everything, including stuff we don't even know yet!
_so_ glad we're done with this now. _________________ aka: neverscared! |

except now i am going to be way to fixated on taking inspiration from this:

and modeling the factors and rates of our decent into thy-induced madness.

Then you would agree that to ignore such possibilities is a crime. |

No, but to not ignore you is. _________________

You clearly have no intention to tell me how to participate in threads constructively.
If you want me to leave, you should just say so sam. |

I understand the corporate interests part, I really do. That being said, the calculating power of computers is hardly mimicry, and they certainly do help push the cutting edge. Get over the fact that your book of logarithmic tables and slide rule are obsolete.
| Thy Brilliance wrote: | | Well let's see. First you would find the average time elapsed between different radiation leaks and combine that with the average radiation released into the environment and create something called a model. |
Here's the funny part. You're talking about a computer model. You're so subtle with your humor, I almost didn't catch that But the models for predicting reactors leaking would have to somehow take into account advances in safety techniques, decommissioning of old plants, 9.0 earthquakes, and unstable dictators on the Korean peninsula or in the Middle East. It's going to be about as reliable as the computer models they use to predict how much rain will fall next year.
More to the point, why should it even be included? The chart from Randall's blog (blag) is dated Mar 19, 2011, and specifically compares radiation levels for reference purposes during the Japanese crisis. Forget that there is no reliable method, there is no need to address the average background radiation in 2001, or 2021.
So, yeah, I think we're done. _________________ Moo. |

This post brought to you by selective (but anticipated) ignorance of the many times I did try to constructively inform you why your posts were bad, bad things.
