that's what i was thinking at first, but that's cause i was working backwards.

if you work it properly frontwards, it's 288.

if you really, really want to work it properly, you put in more parentheses.

Oh i see, I didn't actually solve the problem and assumed Mouse did it the way I was taught, turns out i got a different answer then her and shadowcell.

This is the way I was taught to do this in stupid people math.

48÷2(9+3)
9+3 first 'cause its being accosted by giant fucked up C's. 48÷2(12)
Then the devision from left to right because the C's have been apeased.12(12)
Lastly we multiply the 12's because the C's are now exploding causing some sort of Akira genesis effect. 144
