damn. i was hoping everyone was still quibbling over this. i came up with the most beautiful explanation of why we want the answer to be 2, even though it is in fact 288. _________________ aka: neverscared! |

It's like feeding 15 stray cats in your backyard. Are you really going to notice any difference if there are sixteen? |
Depends, are the 15 gonna devour the 16th one?
Btw i don't know if that was noticeable, but i wasn't really serious about the first post. |
So silly. Cats never resort to cannibalism (except in the case of unweaned kittens). You just have to wait for the neighborhood pitbulls to raid your yard.
It's when you start wondering why cat food doesn't come in 50 lb bags like livestock feed that you're in trouble.
Cats, btw, are excellent at math. You start feeding one and you'll see addition. You put out live traps and you'll discover they know the art of subtraction. You keep feeding them and -voila- multiplication underneath your house.
I shelled out money to take the cats at my house to the low cost spaying and neutering clinic. Yeah, it cost me quite a bit, but it is such a relief not anticipating more kittens and wondering what I'm going to do with them this time. Removing them just leaves room for more anyway. |
