Season finale.
Lots of singing. Not a lot that seemed especially remixable, but the covers should still come in pretty fast.
Things moved at a fairly "Return of Harmony Part 1" pace.
They did a decent job given the demands of the toy company. Can't really think of many ways to improve it.
Kinda eh. |

| Actually, I did think of a way to improve it. If there had been some build up starting way back in, say, season 2 instead of the first part of season 3. Some kind of hint that Twilight not only admired Celestia but actually wanted to be a princess herself. Then it would seem more like a goal achieved instead of something thrust onto her out of the blue. |

The general reaction to that terrible pastel of Twilight + wings (and the pastel itself) that I briefly posted on the internet in back in 2011 seems kind of ironic now.
I might have been one of the first people to draw Twilight as an alicorn?

Yeah, I think that's the reason so many people are complaining about it. It's a major change happening completely at random and reeks of bad fanfiction.
I think they did about as good of a job of it as they could have within the constraints of a single episode, but something like this needs way more foreplanning.
Anyway, I enjoyed the episode.
I predict that there will be loads of remixes of that 'true, true friend' song.
