High School AU's are probably the only thing more popular than Vampire/Werewolf AU's.

yeah, they say "write what you know," and for a lot of fanfic writers, high school is what they know, and then the whole thing just turns into their idealization of their own lives with Harry Potter/Naruto/My Little Pony/etc characters as the stunt doubles

which is okay, i guess, but it makes for stories that are interesting to precisely no one but their authors

Remember when "Equestria Girls" was just a song? Maybe with some animations of colorful magical horses to accompany it?

Pepperidge Farm Remembers.

I read that in Morgan Freeman's voice...

I wonder how much they would have to pay Morgan Freeman to do a voice for a pony episode.

At least to those with like-minded tastes...Whenever I wrote my garbage, I was totally comfortable with sharing it to random strangers on the internet...BUT NEVER WITH ANY ONE I ACTUALLY KNEW. O_O

Someone wrote one of those for Dragon Ball.
Then they turned it into a movie.

Is it sad that I kind of liked it? >_<

The only high school AU I ever want to see is that idea someone had for a Batman high school show. Because Harvey Dent running for class president.

Season 2 DVD should be here Friday, and Vol. 1 of the comic trade paperback (issues 1-4) should arrive Monday.
I'm gonna need to get a job at this rate.

I can't wait to own it on VHS!

Speaking of witc- er, which, The Bronycon documentary's US television rights have been bought. By LOGO. Yeah, the channel that's still primarily associated with GLBT issues in the popular consciousness.
Yay?

Also my Season 2 DVD got here early. Yay!

So my comic book provider gave me this in apology for fucking up giving me issue one when it came out (he shorted me even though I ordered it before just about everyone - there was a change in how my file was managed after that).

Anyway, this was a surprise because the whole reason I ordered it was for my brother for Christmas...

I still gave it to my brother and he was super thrilled.
