if they get too uppity about that, just remind them that someone won the Civil War and it wasn't them.
note: attack does half damage when used by people who live in states that also did not win the Civil War. |

After everything was finally settled, we learned that it was just a false alarm. Even so you don't really play around since we hear stories all the time that once they start looking for you its pretty much a done deal that you have to leave before they get there. Got back home on Monday and have been here since, its kinda calmed down but its still really dangerous. |
some of this has been ongoing for long enough in a lot of border cities that people's nerves are just completely fried. god forbid you get any indication the zets are after you, you freak out and basically have to run and hope there's asylum anywhere, especially as an illegal in the states. |

So, I saw another article about this whole situation in the paper the other day. An American Citizen (born in San Diego) was apprehened for a series of drug hits. I can't remember the totals, but it was too many. The suspect confessed to being a hitman for the Zetas. He's a fourteen year old kid.

i'm getting more news from monterrey - apparently a casino owner was late on protection money to the narcos, so a bunch of gunmen burst in, doused the place in fuel, probably barricaded the emergency exits, and then set the whole place on fire. while it was open, natch
over fifty people died |
