And (believe it or not) the audience of the day was less sophisticated when it came to discerning between radio drama and breaking news. |

I can only imagine the philosophy that that little incident would produce.
I think that the best way to do it would be to actually have world-destruction-worthy equipment, capable of doing something such as bringing a meteorite in and then swinging it away at the last second. |

That's why it's got to be some sort of natural disaster with an utterly implausible resolution. Like having the moon suddenly move torwards earth over the course of a week, and just when it looks like it's going to finish off the earth... it suddenly retreats back to its normal orbit and unfurls a rather large flag reading "Bang!" |

Wasn't there some sort of Docudrama on one of the major networks that was a newscast covering "The End" as a meteor or asteroid came hurtling at us, and despite messages depicting the fiction of the story leding into and coming out of every commercial break, the network had a tremendous number of calls from people wondering if it was real? _________________ -Agamemnon.....but you can call me Jake.

I imagine the moon moving noticibly closer to the earth over the course of a week would have have some worrisome results regardless of it then turned back or not. _________________ "Her kisses left something to be desired -- the rest of her. " |

Living within blocks of the ocean for any real length of time will assuredly teach you respect for (and fear of) the moon. ;p _________________ "Her kisses left something to be desired -- the rest of her. " |

*Revives*
In addition to the things listed before, America is becoming increasingly more Christian fundamentalist and authoritarian, while heading towards absolute loss of respect in the world, economic collapse, and the end of its status as a superpower. |
