How often do remakes or new versions of old favorites ever live up to the originals (or surpass them)?
With these things you can't think of them as the originals but something totally new.
That said, I'm disappointed they messed with Optimus. _________________ "Her kisses left something to be desired -- the rest of her. " |

Yeah but
You don't see, like, manlove for Inspector Gadget, or The Adventures of David the Gnome, or any of that. Practically never kids shows
UNLESS
there were big fuckoff robots involved and they weren't Power Rangers. |

Hasbro, maker of Transformers, bought Tonka, maker of Gobots. Then used "Gobots" as a character name, then as a name for Transformer type toys for preschoolers.
Transformers win. _________________ 88 NPH |

I'm hoping this is all a smokescreen to put the fans off while they actually use a cab-over semi, a Beetle or somethign of the like, etc. _________________ -Agamemnon.....but you can call me Jake.

Oh, c'mon. You used to put your transformers into sexually compromising positions all the time too, didn't you? It was hard for a while when there was a great lack of female transformer counterparts.
Hard, but also kinda fun... _________________ -Agamemnon.....but you can call me Jake.

This thread may be the best thing to come from the live action Transformers movie.
