For years the only version of that I'd heard was from one of the Tales From The Underground albums, and I enjoyed it but not loads. The lyrics were rad but it was that sort of low down dirty Waits that is fucking brilliant but in this case just felt sort of lazy. Then I randomly heard the version of the Shrek 2 soundtrack, and was all HOLY SHIT AWESOME, him having taken that lunatic tango sort of style that was all up in Franks Wild Years and the like.

Why did he do such an awesome, awesome song for Shrek 2?
